As the Head Chef of The Fifth Course, Chef Hakeem brings a distinctive blend of artistry, discipline, and passion to every dining experience. His journey began with humble roots and quickly evolved into roles at some of New York’s most renowned restaurants, including Harlem’s Red Rooster, Four Charles, and Monkey Bar. A U.S. military veteran, he channels his background in structure and leadership into the kitchen, building strong teams and crafting exceptional multi-course experiences.

Over the years, Hakeem has cooked for world-class athletes, musicians, and cultural icons while developing a reputation for excellence, mentorship, and innovation. His approach combines elevated technique with storytelling through food, creating unforgettable private dining experiences that connect culture, community, and cuisine.
